Cheltenham
Megan Seward
Founder, CEO & Principal Consultant
With a busy sporting background and personal understanding of the impact of health problems, Megan is more than equipped to support others improve their health though exercise.
She is a Level 4 Exercise Referral Instructor, Mental Health First Aider, Qualified Teacher of Physical Education and Founder of Isle Health.
Megan holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science – Physical Activity for Health, which is when her passion for health based activity began.
She enjoys working with clients who have medical barriers to participation in physical activity, and working with them to overcome these barriers together.
As research within the industry develops at pace, Megan believes it is important to stay up to date. Megan will complete additional CPD in order for Isle Health to deliver the relevant services. She’s currently studying her BACPR Cardiac Rehabilitation Level 4 qualifications and is then moving onto Cancer Rehabilitation (CanMove).
Megan has an undeniable passion for encouraging those around her to lead a balanced and healthy lifestyle, enabling everyone to get the most out of their life!

Alison Bale
Alison has 20 years’ experience of working with people in pain.
She has a BSc (Hons) in chiropractic and is a certified teacher of mindfulness meditation.
After working for many years using physical interventions to help with pain, Alison is well versed in the need to address biological, psychological and social influences on health.
She uses the latest pain science and research to inform her practice.
The research tells us that when people understand why things hurt, and have skills to support themselves, recovery from chronic pain is possible.
Alison believes we have much more control than we think, and she is passionate about people having options and choices, and the skills to implement solutions for themselves.

Ellie Shea
Exercise Referral Consultant
Ellie is a personal trainer and S&C coach with 4 years of experience, working with a wide range of athletes, from youth to masters, as well as individual to team sport athletes. Ellie has recently qualified as a Level 3 Exercise Referral specialist and has already managed a diverse range of conditions with her clients. Ellie has also supported these clients with their weight management goals through her experience in nutrition…
Ellie is a registered sports nutritionist (SENr) and currently works 121 with athletes – specialising in female and youth athletes, while also supporting Cheltenham Town FC Academy. Ellie completed her undergraduate degree at University of Gloucestershire where her interest in nutrition was sparked. She went on to study her Master’s in Applied Sport and Exercise Nutrition at Oxford Brookes University.
Ellie has played field hockey from 11 years old at school, progressing to the regional performance centre with England Hockey, and now with Cheltenham Ladies 1st team. When she’s not playing hockey, Ellie is often found in the gym training to optimise her on-field performance.
Ellie’s personal experience as an active, sportswomen is what motivates her desire to help others optimise their health and/or perform at their absolute best, as a result of personalised training – with the client’s wellbeing at the heart of everything she does.

Samantha Jones
Exercise Referral Consultant
Samantha (Sam) is a recently qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer with a passion for making exercise accessible for all. She has put these skills to practice from the moment she qualified and is helping people achieve their goals successfully.
Sam is continuing her studies to widen her knowledge and expertise to help individuals of all backgrounds reap the benefits of exercise.
She is currently studying her Exercise Referral Qualifications with guidance from Megan to support the delivery of Isle Health’s most popular service.
Sam has always been keen to exercise indoors & outdoors, using all styles of exercise – with a focus specifically on exercising for both body and mind and not solely on how we look physically.
For Sam, having a healthy lifestyle is more than a gym session, she believes it’s about stretching to aid out mobility, warming up, eating healthily and getting the necessary rest and sleep to aid recovery.

Laura Eggo
Exercise Referral Consultant
Always having a passion around sport and exercise, Laura studied Sport and Exercise science at University before continuing to specialise for her Masters in physiology, gaining an in depth understanding on how the body works.
Laura is a qualified personal trainer and is continuing to grow her list of qualifications.
When not playing volleyball, Laura is busy using her passion to educate clients on the importance and benefits of exercise, no matter what barriers people may face. Laura aims to help people see that the benefits of exercise are limitless, and that having a good understanding of your body and exercise is the first step to leading a healthy lifestyle!
Laura is not one to put herself in the spotlight or in front of a camera (unless Megan asks nicely!) Laura joined the team a couple of months and has been smashing it everyday since.
